1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to bookmydoctor.lk, a digital healthcare appointment booking platform operated by Codzix (Pvt) Ltd. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. A guardian must create an account to book appointments for minors. These terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

2. Platform Description

BookMyDoctor.lk is a booking infrastructure only. We do not employ doctors, own hospitals, or provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All medical services are delivered solely by independent registered service providers.

Emergency Disclaimer: This platform is not an emergency medical service. Do not use this platform for medical emergencies. In a medical emergency, call 1990 (Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service) immediately.

3. User Accounts

A valid Sri Lankan mobile phone number is required to register an account. Only one account is permitted per phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your OTP codes and for all activities conducted under your account. Providing false or inaccurate information during registration is a breach of these terms.

4. Bookings

All bookings are subject to availability at the time of confirmation. A booking is only confirmed after payment is successfully completed online or the pay-at-counter option is selected.

You must present your booking confirmation QR code or reference number at the facility counter on the day of the appointment. Please arrive on time; late arrivals may be treated as no-shows at the service provider's discretion.

5. Payments

Online payments are securely processed via Genie (powered by Dialog Finance). All transactions are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR).

A platform convenience charge is added to every booking to cover operational costs. The convenience charge is non-refundable under all circumstances, including booking cancellations or patient no-shows. If you choose the pay-at-counter option, you agree to pay the full consultation fee plus the convenience charge directly to the facility before receiving the service.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel a confirmed online-paid booking at any time before the appointment date and time. Refunds apply only to online paid bookings. Pay-at-counter bookings are not eligible for platform-initiated refunds.

Upon eligible cancellation, the consultation fee will be refunded to your original payment method within 3–7 business days. As stated, the platform convenience charge is non-refundable. If a service provider cancels your confirmed session, the platform will refund the full amount (including the convenience charge) as a goodwill measure.

7. Intellectual Property

All platform content, including design, code, logos, trademarks, and user interface elements, is owned by Codzix (Pvt) Ltd. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any platform content without prior written permission from us.

8. Limitation of Liability

BookMyDoctor.lk is a technology intermediary connecting patients with independent service providers. We are not liable for medical outcomes, misdiagnoses, treatment errors, or harm resulting from services received at a facility. We are also not liable for technical failures, data loss, or service interruptions caused by third-party services (such as payment gateways or SMS providers). Our maximum liability to any user is limited to the total booking fee paid by that user for the specific booking in dispute.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated to you via SMS or email at least 7 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you must discontinue using the platform.
